The Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) describe a framework for ensuring the privacy of personal details held by organisations. Sydney Renewable Power Company (SRPC) is pleased to align its privacy policy with the APPs.


This Privacy Policy describes our practices on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information in connection with SRPC. When you use the Site, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.


We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you.

We will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us and, unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future for our e-newsletters to tell you about new initiatives, offers or changes to this privacy policy. If you are a shareholder of SRPC we will use your information to fulfil our duties to you.


You may opt out of any future contact from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address given on our website, or using the email link provided to you upon registration:

  • See what data we have about you, if any.

  • Change/correct any data we have about you.

  • Have us delete any data we have about you.

  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.


Registration information is kept by us, our internet hosting provider and other providers of online services based in Australia and overseas.


If your registration information is incomplete we may not be able to ensure you are one of the first invited to invest in the community solar project.


In addition to the information you submit to or through the Site, we also collect and store information from and about you in the course of your use of the Site. We use this information to analyse and track user behaviour, personalize your experience, provide functionality and improve the quality of the Site. For example:

  1. Location: We may collect and store information about your location if you enable your computer or mobile device to send us location information. You may be able to change the settings on your computer or mobile device to prevent it from providing us with such information.

  2. Activity: We may collect and store information related to you and your use of the Site, such as your browser type, IP address, requested URL, referring URL, browser language, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit.

  3. Cookies: We may use cookies, web beacons, local shared objects (sometimes called “flash cookies”), and similar technology in connection with your use of the Site (“Cookies”).   4. Links: The Site may contain links to unaffiliated third party websites. Except as set forth herein, we do not share your personal information with them, and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We suggest you read the privacy policies on all such third party websites.


The APPs state that an organisation must not adopt as its own, an identifier of the individual that has been assigned by the government. E.g., Medicare numbers or tax file numbers. SRPC does not use any government identifiers as identifiers for members, visitors or other parties.


Visitors to this site may remain anonymous. If you are seeking to register to invest and/or become a member of SRPC then you will be unable to remain anonymous.


No method of transmission over the Internet or via mobile device, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

SRPC does not collect any sensitive information.


We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Site prior to the effective date of the changes. By continuing to access or use the Site after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
