Sydney's largest CBD Solar Array is open for investment.
Sydney's largest CBD Solar Array has opened for investment via the share offer of Sydney Renewable Power Company (SRPC). SRPC provides investors the opportunity to take action on climate change through investing in renewable energy. Investors in SRPC will be investing in Sydney’s largest solar CBD roof installation, located on the roof of the redeveloped International Convention Centre. It is a 520kW PV array.
An investment in SRPC is an impact investment, the aim of which is to create environmental and social outcomes, along with expected financial returns. The offer is raising $1,427,250 to fund this project through 519 shares being offered, at $2,750 each.
The Directors of SRPC see the benefits of this offer as:
- An attractive forecast FY17 and FY18 Net Profit After Tax (NPAT) and Earnings Per Share (EPS)
- In addition to distributing dividends, in most years, it is expected that the Board will approve a return of capital to investors
- Making a difference through impact investment
- Enabling community investment in a central Sydney renewable energy project
